- For Mac Users:
Macs require additional setup to enable remote support. After downloading and running the ScreenConnect application, follow these steps:- Step 1: Open System Preferences
- Go to Apple Menu > System Preferences > Security & Privacy.
- Step 2: Adjust Permissions
- In the Security & Privacy window, navigate to the Privacy tab.
- Select Accessibility in the left-hand menu.
- Click the lock icon in the bottom-left corner to make changes (you may need to enter your Mac’s administrator password).
- Locate the ScreenConnect Client in the list. If it’s not listed, click the + button to add it manually.
- Check the box next to ScreenConnect Client to grant access.
- Step 3: Enable Screen Recording
- Still in the Privacy tab, select Screen Recording in the left-hand menu.
- Check the box next to ScreenConnect Client to allow screen sharing.
- Step 4: Restart ScreenConnect Client
- Quit and reopen the ScreenConnect Client to apply the changes.
- Step 1: Open System Preferences
- Once permissions are granted, notify your support technician to continue with remote support.
